Who We Support
KIANO Organization works to uplift and empower vulnerable and marginalized groups in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, across Iraq, and — in the near future — within the wider MENA region and beyond.
Our support focuses on:
- Displaced Persons (IDPs): Families and individuals forced to leave their homes due to conflict or disaster.
- Migrants and Refugees: Populations in transition who face barriers to safety, services, and livelihoods.
- Host Communities: Local populations who share resources and infrastructure with displaced groups.
- Rural Communities: Villages and underserved areas that often lack access to healthcare, education, and economic opportunities.
- Women, Children, and Youth: Groups particularly at risk of exploitation, violence, and limited opportunities.
- Persons with Disabilities and the Elderly: Ensuring inclusion, dignity, and equal access to services.
Through humanitarian assistance, development projects, and advocacy, KIANO ensures these groups not only survive crises but also gain the tools to rebuild stronger, healthier, and more resilient futures.
Vision A resilient and inclusive society in Iraq and beyond, where all individuals — especially displaced, marginalized, and vulnerable groups — live with dignity, security, equal opportunity, and sustainable development in harmony with their environment.
Mission
KIANO Organization for Development and Humanitarian Assistance is committed to improving lives through humanitarian aid, community development, and empowerment. We provide healthcare, education, protection, livelihoods, and environmental initiatives by partnering with local and international actors. Guided by humanitarian principles, we aim to build self-reliance, strengthen resilience, and foster sustainable solutions for rural populations, migrants, IDPs, and host communities.
